Wall Fitting or in a Glass Door

When choosing how your cat flap needs installing, these are two of the most popular options to consider:

Wall Installation:

• This method works brilliantly; normally, your damp-proof course (DPC) sits below floor level—a common setup that poses no issues.
• Can be fitted in a corner, without compromising the aesthetics of your room or obscuring the view of your garden.
• Wall installations offer excellent durability and can be positioned at the perfect height for your cat. 

Double-Glazed Unit (DGU):

• This approach involves fitting a new glazed unit with the cat flap already integrated.
• It’s a clean, professional solution that maintains the integrity of your existing door frame.
• I recommend that you keep the original DGU, as a spare unit or can be refitted if you move to a new property.

Both methods are perfectly valid choices, and we’re equally happy to carry out either installation based on what works best for your home. The key is choosing the right approach for your specific situation rather than being steered towards the quickest option! We believe in taking the time needed to do the fitting as required by you. Double Glazed Units

• Using only toughened glass for all replacement double-glazed units, ensuring safety.
• All my units are manufactured by certified BSI Kitemarked companies and carry the British Kitemark
• If your cat flap or dog door needs to be installed in a double-glazed glass unit. The unit must be replaced with a new bespoke toughened glass double glazed unit.
• Please allow seven to ten days, from measuring to fitting.
